The mother's co...I like the scary/twist ending. The mother's courage in not letting her child know she was scared is most admirable. If you don't mind the advice, I might suggest letting the footsteps keep going for longer, stretching out the ominous feel. Of course it's your story, so you don't have to change it unless you want to.<br />I also enjoyed the cultural setting, with the large distance between homes and the rural feel.
