Thank you Mr. Moon.

here had been a week long black-out in eastern Dzongkhag, which impelled us, the easterners to live in a sordid darkness. For a moment, we had to adjust life just like in some old movie scene; everything was black and white.

Why black-out for so long? Nobody knew. Everybody thought that some kind of maintenance must be on schedule at Kurichhu project. This black-out thing has become like a routine especially in the eastern part. Every year, we are forced to live in the darkness for a week or two.    

This kind of adversity isn’t new in our country and this I seriously mean it. All of a sudden there would be untimely chaos in the system without any anybody’s knowledge and to top the badness, nobody would care to explain. Just like the issue of inflation and pedestrian day misfortune.

What was more disappointing?  For some mad cow’s reason, there wasn’t a single candle left in the entire Yangtse town. Damn goodness me! I thought it was a prank until I was left running in the darkness, hunting for some candle.

Well atleast the moon was generous enough to share its light with us. So we preferred sitting outside than inside until it was a time to hit the sack.

For a week evenings were super romantic because each one of us were having a moon light dinner.
